Veolia Environmental Services (Veolia ES) Technical Solutions nominated their top sales representative for 2006 last month. Kevin Polkinghorn received the Account Manager of the Year-National Top Performer award at the company’s annual meeting in Phoenix, AZ. Polkinghorn has been with Veolia ES Technical Solutions’ Central Branch, located in Menomonee Falls, WI, for five years as an Account Manager. His territory encompasses lower western Michigan. As the winning Account Manager, Polkinghorn exceeded his sales target by achieving 140% of his goal in 2006 and creating business opportunities for Veolia sister companies within the course of his work. This is the second year in a row Polkinghorn has been awarded Account Manager of the Year.
Polkinghorn was pleased and honored to receive this award. “This award was made possible by Veolia’s support team within the Central Branch and at each facility,” he said. “It is a true honor and I am delighted to receive this recognition from my colleagues.”
The annual contest consists of an evaluation of the Account Manager’s performance in six areas: revenues vs. budget, product line performance, receivables, new revenue, time management and report management. The Sales Manager from each of Veolia ES Technical Solutions’ 10 branches nominates an Account Manager for the National Award.
Eric Laut, the Sales Manager for the Central Branch, commented on Polkinghorn’s accomplishments. “Kevin has innate sales ability. He uses these abilities to develop strong relationships with customers and prospects at every level of an organization,” he said. Laut continued, “His creative approach to base business customers often incorporates the services of Veolia sister companies, bringing multi-million dollar opportunities to the companies of Veolia. The successive selection of Kevin Polkinghorn as Account Manager of the Year for Veolia ES Technical Solutions is testament to Kevin’s professionalism and hard work.”
