Veolia Environmental Services, formerly Onyx Environmental Services, has announced that it has reached an agreement with Affiliated Distributors (A-D) to network its OnyxPak program through A-D Electrical Supply Division affiliates.

OnyxPak is a simple, yet comprehensive program that provides everything a customer needs to recycle fluorescent lamps, lamp ballasts, batteries and computer electronics in compliance with environmental regulations. Under the OnyxPak program, one price includes the container to store and transport the waste, shipping to and from the customer, processing and certificates of recycling.

“Our agreement with A-D brings together the largest environmental services company and the largest network of leading electrical distributors to offer single source services,” says Barry Jordan, sales manager for the Electronics Recycling Branch at Veolia Environmental Services.

“Customers that purchase lighting and electronic items from an A-D affiliated distributor can now purchase recycling services from the same company and trust that their liability will be backed by the largest environmental services company in the world! It’s a win/win situation for everyone involved.”

“We are pleased to have Veolia Environmental Services (ONYX) become a supplier partner in Affiliated Distributors,” says Ted Sokolowksi, A-D’s Vice President, ESD Relations. “The value proposition brought to the table by both AD and VES creates a win for the affiliates and our new partner. We look to work closely with VES to the benefit of both parties and the environment in general.”

A-D’s Electrical Supply Division has collective sales of over $9.5 Billion and is the single largest group or chain in the electrical industry in North America. A-D’s U.S. Electrical Supply Division consists of over 130 leading independents with 1,186 locations. 34 of the 100 largest electrical distributors in the U.S. are A-D members. 64 of the top 200 are A-D members.
