TAKE IT BACK WEST 2004 “Recycling Policy and the Supply Chain” will be held March 1-3 2004 at the Crowne Plaza Foster City near San Francisco.

The ninth annual conference, co-sponsored by Foresite Systems Ltd., will feature three days of regulatory information and practical case histories, and provide an opportunity for government recycling managers to attend on Wednesday March 3.

March 1 will cover plastics recycling and degradable technologies, and packaging case histories.

March 2 will feature top speakers from Belgium, Austria, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan and India for the international plenary session. International keynote will be Kenjiro Suzuki, deputy director for Environmental Industries Office of METI Japan.

The March 3 morning session will cover global electronics recycling policy and implementation issues, while a concurrent government policy session will provide a forum for policy debates on plastics, marine debris and electronics waste. The session is being organized by Wendy Pratt of the NewPoint Group.

The afternoon lunch and joint plenary will have more e-waste speakers, plus a lively debate on the electronics waste issue.

Hewlett-Packard Corp. will also sponsor a tour of the company electronics recycling facility March 1.

Event sponsorships are open and booth space will be available. Call publisher Michele Raymond at 301 345-4237 or see
