Dana Simmons has been appointed SWANA’s new Marketing Coordinator, as announced today by John H. Skinner, Ph.D., SWANA’s Executive Director and CEO.
Simmons is currently a part-time Marketing Assistant while finishing up her degree in communications at the University of Maryland.
"We’re excited to have Dana join our team," commented Todd Von Deak, Director of Marketing and Member Services. "Dana has already made an impact on our department and we look forward to having her with us in a full-time role." Simmons also holds an Associates degree in Multimedia and Web Design from the Art Institute of Washington.
Simmons’ duties will primarily focus on promoting SWANA’s website and offline events, as well as its Certification and Applied Research programs.
"As SWANA grows we are always looking for ways to become better at what we do. Adding Dana to our full time staff is just one of the things we are doing to help position SWANA to expand and best serve our membership," commented Skinner.
