The Municipal Waste Integration Network (mwin) and the Ontario Chapter of the Air & Waste Management Association (AWMA) present a breakfast meeting on Wednesday, October 25 in Hamilton with the topic on planning and acceptance for a source-separated organics program.
Guest Speaker: Pat Parker, Manager of Solid Waste Planning, City of Hamilton
Ms. Parker has worked with the City of Hamilton for over 15 years. During the last few years, Hamilton has pursued the implementation of a source-separated organics program. The presentation will focus on the planning of the program including the campaign to seek acceptance and participation in the program from the citizens of the city. Tours will be provided of Hamilton’s new composting facility .
