The Ontario Environment Industry Association (ONEIA) Environment Industry Day (EID) at Ontario’s Queen’s Park on April 15 is rapidly approaching, so register now to avoid disappointment.
In addition to the opportunity to join one of the teams of companies meeting MPPs and ministers, this year’s EID also offer an excellent series of roundtables that give ONEIA members the opportunity to meet with top ministry officials and discuss current and upcoming government policies.
Among the topics covered are:
o A luncheon address by Carl Griffith, Assistant Deputy Minister, Environmental Sciences and Standards Division;
o A plenary discussion about upcoming reforms at the Ministry of the Environment with Doris Dumais, Director, Certificates of Approvals, Ministry of the Environment;
o Roundtables with senior officials in the areas of Aboriginal issues and the environment, adaptation to climate change, green building, waste management, packaging and product stewardship, and brownfields.
A complete program for the day is available online at
These afternoon sessions will be followed by an evening reception at Queen’s Park hosted by ONEIA and Minister John Gerretsen. Programming during the day is open only to ONEIA members. Friends of ONEIA and companies that have not yet joined the association are welcome to attend the evening reception. ONEIA members pay $150 for the day (including the reception). Not-yet-members and friends pay $150 for the reception. If you would like to discuss ONEIA membership and join us for all sessions during the day, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
