The Recycling Council of Ontario (RCO) believes that the Ontario Minister of the Environment will designate electronic waste under the Waste Diversion Act in the next few months.

In preparation of this designation, RCO feels it is imperative that industry, government, Waste Diversion Ontario and ENGOs understand the key issues, and elements of a successful program.

For this reason, we have assembled a team of experts from across the globe to debate all issues associated with designing a successful "E-Waste" stewardship program in Ontario one that promotes the 3Rs; stimulates innovation and re-design; fosters competition between brand owners and service providers; achieves economic efficiencies; and sustains proper end-of-life management practices.

This one-day facilitated debate will feature a panel of experts who have knowledge and experience in developing regulations and implementing/managing E-Waste Stewardship programs.
