The Canadian Plastics Industry Association (CPIA) is seeking an individual to join our new dynamic, re-energized and unified organization.
CPIA is a member-driven organization for the plastics industry in Canada. With over 3,350 companies employing 106,000 workers, the plastics industry is a sophisticated, multi-faceted sector encompassing plastic products manufacturing, machinery, moulds and resins.
As a result of our consultations with our industry, stakeholders and others over the last year, we have aligned the organization around what used to be EPIC and set bold new directions focused on the sustainability and recovery of plastic products at end-of-life.
Our new mission recognizes the importance of our industry efforts to the environment and society.
A key thrust of our organization is to take a leadership role in end-of-life solutions through greater collaboration with all stakeholders.
Reporting to the VP of Post Use Recovery, the program manager will be responsible for managing the industry’s product stewardship initiatives to increase plastics diversion and be a resource for both members and for our outreach advocates and partnership efforts.
This position requires:
-demonstrated project management experience
-good technical ability with respect to research
-financial and operational analyses
– knowledge of the plastics and the waste management industry.
This is a full-time contract position with opportunity for renewal and a salary based on experience. The position also includes a benefit plan.
