The Global Plastics Environmental Conference (GPECT 2007) will be held in sunny Orlando, Florida at the Florida Hotel and Conference Center from March 6-7, 2007. The event organizers are soliciting exhibitors and Environmental Stewardship Award nominations. The event is sponsored by the Plastics Environmental Division of the Society of Plastics Engineers. The theme of GPECT 2007 is “Environmental Innovation: Plastics Recycling and Sustainability.”

Technical Tracks are as follows:

— Reclamation and Supply: PCR and PIR

— Bio-based and Biodegradable Materials

— Recycling: Regulatory, Electronics, Automotive, Marketing and Business

Over 300 involved industrial and academic professionals will attend the Global Plastics Environmental Conference (GPECT 2007). Don’t miss this opportunity to display your products and services in the exhibition hall during the conference. Exhibition space costs only $600 for a tabletop or $1000 for a 10’x5′ pop up exhibit and will allow spectators to conveniently view your presentation. The Plastics Environmental Division is seeking nominations for this year’s “Environmental Innovation: Plastics Recycling & Sustainability” award for achievements in 2006. The awards will recognize corporations and other institutions that have demonstrated environmental leadership and excellence through significant achievements in the following categories:

2) Plastics Recycling

3) New Technologies in Materials and Processes

4) New Technologies in Renewable Materials and Processes

5) Enabling Technologies in Processes and Procedures

6) Design for Sustainability

7) Emerging Technologies

These Environmental Stewardship Awards are widely recognized as a premier industry award. The GPECT conference and the award ceremony receive wide press coverage.
