The New Brunswick Department of Environment and Environment Canada are co-hosting the 5th National Workshop on Extended Producer Responsibility in Fredericton New Brunswick from Wednesday, February 27 through Friday, February 29, 2008.

The workshop is held every second year, alternating between a Western and an Eastern host province and is an attendance by invitation event. Guest speakers and attendees from every jurisdiction in Canada, the United States and Europe normally attend.

Those invited to attend will represent government (Federal and Provincial), industry, not for profit, environmental non-government organizations, recycling affiliates, etc.

The organizers are currently working on the final agenda for this 2.5 day event. The themes of the workshop will be centered around performance measurement and reporting, as well as benchmarking and target setting in EPR programs.
