The Municipal Waste Integration Network (MWIN) has announced that the Hon. Leona Dombrowsky, Ontario’s Minister of the Environment, will speak at the December 1, 2004 mwin luncheon. The MWIN luncheon is held in conjunction with the Canadian Waste & Recycling Expo at the International Centre in Mississauga (Toronto) in the Aviation Ballroom B.

The minister will speak before lunch at 12:00 noon and update guests on activities within the environment ministry.

Following lunch, Gordon McGuinty, president of Benchmarks Plus will deliver a talk he has entitled “The Politics of Garbage.” Mr. McGuinty’s perspective is sure to be interesting in view of the fact that he championed the former Adams Mine landfill proposal, which was recently expropriated via legislation from the Liberal government.
