Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm will sign bills this Friday March 26th, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. that bring in to force legislation aimed at frustrating garbage exports into that state.
A Democrat news release states, "They said it could not be done. They said the Trash lobby was too powerful. They said you could not draft bills that would withstand
Constitutional muster. The pundits have been proven wrong."
State Representative Paul Gieleghem and Governor Granholm will preside over a bill signing ceremony celebrating the passage of the landmark legislation that will reduce the influx of out-of-state and Canadian waste.
The vent is scheduled to take place at Clintondale High School Media Center, 35200 Little Mack, Clinton Township, MI 48035.
