Lubo USA began importing TiTech VisionSort optical sorting equipment in the spring of 2004 as its sole North American distributor, and has quickly become a leader in North America. With approximately 1200 units installed in the MRF field, TiTech views itself as a leader in optical sorting. Most of these units are operating in Europe with a fast growing share going to the US market. TiTech’s innovative sorting technology makes it possible to fully automate separation of recyclable materials. The input stream is analyzed by a fast scanning sensor installed over a conveyor belt. It rapidly identifies materials, shapes, textures and colors as well as the object position. Contracts and sales include:
Multiple Locations: Waste Management Recycle America (WMRA) has purchased (6) TiTech units for several different plants. WMRA Raleigh (VA), WMRA Spiegel (MA), WMRA Kit Kat Road (MD), CID (ILL) and Liverpool (NY) will each install TiTech PolySorts.
New Brunswick, NJ: Colgate Paper Stock has purchased (3) TiTech units, a TiTech PaperSort CN, and two TiTech PolySorts for its plant to sort the commingled recyclables automatically.
Chesapeake VA: TFC Recycling is building the most automatic single stream facility in the country with (7) TiTech optical sorters both for final paper clean up and other tasks such as fiber removal from containers and automatic container sorting.
Brockton, MA: Allied/BFI has purchased both (2) TiTech PolySorts for its Brockton MA plant.
Kalamazoo, MI: Schupan Recycling has purchased a TiTech ColourSort for their location. Once installed, the ColourSort will allow an output with high purity rates for further recycling.
Fresno, CA: Sunset Waste will be installing a TiTech PaperSort CN later this year.
