Global Electric Electronic Processing (GEEP), a global industry leader for asset management and end-of-life processing of electronics, recently announced the launch of a new company – GEEP EDS.

GEEP EDS markets “EBAN”, a revolutionary software that protects enterprises with an effective Data Erasure capability. GEEP has formed this joint venture company with Darik Horn, founder of the DBAN and EBAN software projects, as part of its plan to offer data security software worldwide.

The new company GEEP EDS will focus on the design, development and marketing of data destruction and security software.

The rapid rise in corporate information theft and fraud has made the issue of data erasure and IT asset disposal a critical responsibility of every CIO and IT Director. GEEP EDS will complement the end-of-life asset and data erasure strategy of companies as well as other end-of-life asset management companies with a tested software solution to permanently destroy data.

The software EBAN, patterned after the proven DBAN core code, was developed for Mass Drive Clearing.

It boasts new innovative additions for simultaneous multi-drive data destruction, and automatically records the make model and serial number of every drive successfully overwritten, as well as the full hardware manifest from a target computer.
