Companies that rely on suspended electromagnets to remove metal waste from different kinds of materials now have a place to turn to where the magnets can be maintained and upgraded.

The Eriez 5-Star Service Center, located in Lake City, Pennsylvania, has service technicians that are well trained in providing maintenance work on suspended electromagnets, which are used to remove tramp metal from a variety of materials, such as coal, wood products and recycled materials.

Portions of the Eriez suspended electromagnets maintenance program include:

-performing visual and electrical inspections.

-disassembling magnets to remove and replace magnet coils.

-reassembling magnets and filling them with appropriate oil followed by testing, painting and tagging.

“Our team is ready to do whatever it takes to address customers’ issues and limit costly downtime of their suspended electromagnets,” says Jim Lasko, Eriez 5-Star Service Center manager. “We utilize original OEM parts, remanufacture equipment to original specifications and offer ‘as new’ warranties.”

Eriez also has service technicians available for in-house repairs and routine maintenance checks.

“We understand that sending the equipment to our 5-Star Service Center is not always a viable option, so Eriez will come to you, even on short notice,” says Dave Hansen, Eriez Customer Service manager
