Innovative new approaches to waste management across Vancouver Island and the Coast, such as organics collection, biogenic gas recovery and new bylaws and bans are just a part of this year’s CWMA conference.
Taking place October 5 to 7, just before the Thanksgiving long weekend, this annual must-attend event includes updates on activities from the ministry of environment and four regional districts.
Tours, including the Norske paper mill, will showcase this coastal industrial town’s history with the environment, and evening entertainment promises to be funny with Yuk-Yuk’s and HBO headliner Damonde Tschritter.
Sponsorship and trade show opportunities are still available. For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the conference page at www.cwma.bc.ca/events/zero2005/zero2005.htm
