Editor Guy Crittenden is the official waste management industry reporter or “analyst” for Americana 2007 — the environmental technology trade show and conference taking place Tuesday through Thursday in Montreal this week (March 20-22).

Crittenden says he looks forward to attending the various conference sessions that cover all aspects of environmental protection, and especially to moderating the solid waste session. He also looks forward to meeting visitors at the magazine exhibit on the trade show floor in between sessions.

“The conference organizers want us to encourage discussion of the connection between environmental protection and a strong economy,” says Crittenden. “This is the value proposition we promote in our magazines all the time.”

As the official waste industry analyst, Crittenden will moderate the waste management sessions and also participate in a conference wrap-up panel discussion on Thursday, the last day of the conference. His notes, along with those from analysts covering other conference streams such as wastewater and air quality, will be combined into a final report that will be published in a local Quebec environment magazine.

Upcoming editions of HazMat Management magazine and Solid Waste & Recycling magazine will feature special reports and photos from this event.
