Join our cohesive and supportive team of professionals as the Manager, Solid Waste Operations where you can showcase your ability in the operation, maintenance and staffing of the CVRD Solid Waste management complexes/transfer stations, as well as the development and delivery of other outside collection programs. This position works in an administrative, technical and management capacity in carrying out the supervision of such facilities and programs.
You have graduated from a recognized university or technical institute with a degree or diploma in a related field. You have demonstrated leadership and management skills and have received training from the Solid Waste Association of North America (or you possess an equivalent combination of education, training and experience). In addition you have a minimum of five (5) years experience in the operation of a waste management system or similar multi-faceted operation, including the supervision of staff, contractors and the general public.
