Arrangements are in their final stages for the Conference on Canadian Stewardship, to be held at the Renaissance Harbourside Vancouver Hotel, Sept 12-13, 2007.
The organizers state: Join us for a Speakers and Delegates Reception the evening before the conference, Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at the Renaissance Harbourside Hotel, commencing at 6:30 until 9:30 pm. Refreshments, good snacks, light entertainment and great conversations are a sure thing. The full One-day Conference will take place on Thursday, September 13.
Delegates have until Friday, August 17 to take advantage of an exceptional room rate offer, which we negotiated nearly a year ago. City view rooms are $189 and harbour view rooms $219 per night. Make sure you ask for the Conference on Canadian Stewardship room block when making your reservation to take advantage of these rates.
For those with an interest in the great outdoors, Merlin Plastics is hosting the Deep Cove Hike on afternoon of Wed. Sept 12. See details in the Agenda section on the website. Sign up for a truly wonderful walk of the Pacific coastline.
We are also delighted to announce that the opening speaker will be His Worship Mayor Sam Sullivan, of Vancouver. Mayor Sullivan became one of the most recognized mayors in the world when he accepted the Olympic flag on behalf of the City, which will be host to the 2010 Winter Olympics. His Worship will be welcoming delegates and presenting awards to winning Canadian Youth Eco Parliament (CYEP) delegates from across Canada.
Register for the Conference today. Where experience talks! See you in Vancouver.
