The Composting Council of Canada (CCC), in cooperation with the Earth Tech Canada and the City of Edmonton, is offering a two-day hands-on training program to promote technical knowledge and sound operating techniques amongst compost facility operators and those involved with large-scale composting. The program includes a compost facility operator certification exam.

This two-day version of the CCC’s popular three-day course has been designed to provide participants with a practical understanding of the composting process and the means to address operational issues involved in the running of a compost facility.

Details:

When: April 29 and 30, 2008

Where: Edmonton Waste Management Centre (Site 100, 13111 Meridian Street, Edmonton, Alberta)

Start Times: Both days the session will begin at 9:00am and end at approximately 5:00 pm. Post the end of Wednesday’s session, the opportunity exists to write the certification exam for Level 1 of The Composting Council of Canada’s Composting Facility Operator Certification Program.

Nuisance Control Marketing

Registration is limited to maximize individual attention. Each participant will receive a copy of The Council’s “Compost Facility Operating Guide” in CD format to serve as a reference during and after the course.

Deadline for registration: April 1st, 2008

Classroom size is limited. Register early to avoid disappointment.

Registration Fee:

Members of the CCC and/or SWANA: $375 plus 6% GST for the course

Potential Member rate: $475 plus 6% GST for the course

Includes classroom instruction, refreshment breaks, and two lunches.

Please note: Lodging, other meals and expenses are the responsibility of each participant.

Fee for Certification Exam $100 plus 6% GST
