Mark your calendars! The CWMA fall conference and trade show will take place November 3-5, 2004 at the Tigh-Na-Mara resort in Parksville, BC.
The Tigh-Na-Mara resort is the ideal location for this year’s conference theme: Working Together for Less. Nestled in the trees on Vancouver Island’s east coast, the self-contained resort provides an intimate setting where attendees from all sectors of the industry — government, private and non-profit — can join together and discuss creative and cooperative ways to reduce waste. The resort features a variety of types of accommodation, with prices to suit all budgets. For more information about the resort, see their web site at http://www.tigh-na-mara.com
Attendees to the conference can expect to hear about the latest issues impacting the solid waste industry on the islands and coast. Topics will include organics processing, e-waste recycling, and recent changes to legislation, relevant to the industry. The trade show will showcase new and innovative technologies and programs. And there will be plenty of opportunities for delegates and presentors to network, and to have some fun in the process.
Details about the conference, including a program, registration, and accommodations, will be sent to members in soon. For ongoing updates, check the Events section of the CWMA website http://www.cwma.bc.ca/events.html
