Biorem Inc. has announced that the Regional Municipality of York has ordered two in-ground Biofiltair odor control systems at the Duffin Creek plant in Pickering, Ontario, at a cost of $3.1 million.

“This is an important order for the company which leverages our engineering and process knowledge and continues our evolution to larger projects,” said Peter Bruijns, president and CEO. “The population expansion in Greater Toronto and other urban areas across North America continues to create demand for odor control at public works facilities. We are pleased to be a leader in this growing market.”

BIOREM manufactures Biosorbens(R) biofilter media and is a leading supplier of biofilters for air pollution control in municipal and industrial applications, including BIOCUBE(R) modular units and Mytilus(R) biotrickling filters. The company has installed over 500 systems across North America.
