Readers will be interested in new Blog entries at the websites for Solid Waste & Recycling magazine and also HazMat Management magazine.
The first, under “Editor’s Blog” on both websites (click on red heading in left column of home page) updates readers about articles and topics that will appear in the next edition of each magazine.
Guy Crittenden edits both magazines, and has provided, along with the article list, an update about new developments at HazMat Management magazine, and also the participation of both publications at the upcoming Americana trade show and conference (Montreal, March 20-22) where he has been designated as the official “waste management” reporter by the event’s organizers.
Says Crittenden, “I’ve been away from blogging for a few months due to personal issues and also technical changes on our company’s computer system. I’ll be making more entries about all kinds of industry issues and events in the months to come, so readers should check back regularly.”
The second Blog entry that should interest readers is from Usman Valiante, a contributing editor for both magazines. (Click on the red “Contributors Blog” heading on the homepage of Solid Waste & Recycling magazine.) Usman has posted the link to an important article that appeared in Vancouver’s Georgia Straight magazine about problems in B.C.’s product stewardship program for used oil. It’s a fascinating read, and one that will resonate with readers familiar with coverage of that topic in both trade magazines.
