ESG’s Nate Davis Named to Waste360’s 2017 40 Under 40 Award List

The Environmental Solutions Group today announced that Nate Davis, Director, ESG Parts and Parts Central, has been named to Waste360’s 2017 40 Under 40 awards list, which showcases the next generation of innovative leaders shaping the future of the waste and recycling industry.

As Director of ESG Parts and Parts Central, Nate is responsible for managing the replacement and aftermarket parts business for ESG and its core brands – Heil, Marathon, Curotto Can and Bayne. He held previous roles at ESG including Key Account Manager and Product Manager for Heil. Nate joined Environmental Solutions Group in 2005 and through his 12 years has enjoyed the opportunity to work with haulers of all sizes to reduce operating costs, improve equipment uptime, and improve productivity through the products and services offered by ESG.

Prior to joining ESG, Nate worked for Nissan Motors as a Project Engineer focused on new vehicle development and manufacturing. He earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, an M.S. in Engineering, and an MBA from the University of Tennessee. His graduate work focused on New Product Development and Operations Management. He serves on the board of the NWRA’s Future Industry Leader’s Alliance (FILA) and also volunteers his time as Team Manager of Chattanooga Football Club Academy.

“Nate has held several positions within ESG and has consistently excelled,” said Bob McMackins, ESG VP, Quality & Customer Excellence. “About two years ago he was named Director of our Parts business, and under his leadership that business has continued to grow. He has worked to raise visibility of that business and formulated a number of progressive initiatives that have had direct, positive impacts toward ESG’s growth. Nate’s a strong leader with a great head for business, and I’m pleased to see his efforts have been recognized nationally by Waste360.”

“We’re delighted that the 2017 class is once again the top of their respective crafts. From technology and innovation to grassroots growth and vast professional achievement, these young professionals give the entire waste, recycling and organics industry a great deal to be proud of. The future is bright thanks to the thinking and hard work of rising stars like Nate Davis. We look forward to celebrating Nate and the rest of the honorees at WasteExpo in May,” said Mark Hickey, VP & Market Leader, Waste360.

The Waste360 40 Under 40 awards program recognizes inspiring and innovative professionals under the age of 40 whose work in waste, recycling and organics has made a significant contribution to the industry. The winners are involved in many different aspects including hauling, composting, policymaking and municipal initiatives.

A panel of expert judges from Waste360 evaluated the nominations and consulted with an external advisor to select the finalists and winners.

Nate and the other honorees will be formally recognized at WasteExpo, North America's largest solid waste, recycling and organics industry event, May 8-11, 2017, in New Orleans.
