EPCOR’s new 4.8 megawatt landfill gas facility at the City of Edmonton Waste Management Centre in east Edmonton is now fully operational. The electricity generated at this facility is creating “green power” from landfill gas. This power is equivalent to the electricity needed for about 4,600 homes annually. Representatives from EPCOR and the city were on hand to provide media with a tour on October 19. EPCOR Utilities Inc. is one of Canada’s top providers of energy and energy-related services and products.
