Solid Waste & Recycling magazine Editor-in-Chief Guy Crittenden and Editor Connie Vitello have been selected as finalists in this year’s Kenneth R. Wilson Awards presented by the Canadian Business Press to recognize achievement in business-to-business journalism. Articles written by Mr. Crittenden represent two out of five final pieces to be judged in the Best Editorial category (“Inside TCR,” October/November edition and “Ontario Scrap Tire Fiasco,” December/January edition). Last year he took home the silver medal in this category. Ms. Vitello is a finalist in the Best Single Article category for a piece she wrote in sister publication Hazardous Materials Management entitled “On Thin Ice” (December/January edition). In addition, Hazardous Materials Management regular columnist Dianne Saxe, D.Jur. is a finalist for the Best Regularly Featured Department or Column. Ms. Saxe has written for the publication since its inception eleven years ago. The awards are presented on June 7 at the Old Mill in Toronto, Ontario and the results will be posted in the August/September edition.
