Good quality fork-lift truck scales can benefit an operation by increasing inventory control, saving time and valuable floor space, and enhancing quality control. When choosing a forklift truck scale, it’s important to look for certain features: easy installation, rugged design, accuracy, and the ability to work in conjunction with various attachments dependant on the task at hand (such as rotators, barrel or drum handlers, and bale clamps).

Designed for the material handling industry, GLG Canada’s lift truck scales have a wide range of applications. The filing scales, for example, have a patented single load cell design, a multiple flexure design (which absorbs repeated shock of loads to reduce or eliminate load cell damage), safety bolts with a 5:1 margin, and a capacity of up to 40,000 pounds.

The scales are engineered to require very few moving parts, and this translates into optimal accuracy and low maintenance costs. Other notable features of the fork-lift scales include: a 0.01 per cent accuracy at all four corners of forks (heel to toe); gross/net conversion; push button digital tare; APW entry piece count; ID entry; accumulation register; rugged enclosure; universal mounting bracket; dual-line 32 character LCD display with backlight; 10 VDC to 50VDC operation; and, an alphanumeric display. The company also has a wide range of scales for both cleat mount and bar mount applications in a variety of capacities.
