Konrad Fichtner, P.Eng., formerly manager of environmental services in Earth Tech’s Vancouver, BC, office brings his technical background in solid waste management to Gartner Lee. Konrad’s expertise lies in planning, composting system design, waste-to-energy systems, technology assessments, landfills, recycling, air pollution control, medical and hazardous wastes, permitting, and alternative energy. His multinational experience has included work in Canada, Germany, the USA, China, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand.
Ralph Bischoff, P.Eng., has 25 years experience in infrastructure and integrated waste management projects for both public and private sectors in British Columbia. Ralph, formerly with Anchor Point Consulting, brings extensive experience to Gartner Lee in demand-side management techniques, collection protocols, and waste reduction and recycling strategies. Ralph is also the executive director of SWANA BC.
Gartner Lee is also pleased to announce the acquisition of C. Wren and Associates (CWA), a specialized consulting firm located in Guelph that provides leading-edge services in ecological risk assessment and environmental monitoring services, primarily to the mining and aggregates industries in Ontario. Christopher Wren, Ph.D., has 25 years experience largely in the mining, pulp and paper, aggregate and energy sectors, and leads the firm. He’s supported by professional staff with expertise in ecology, toxicology, fisheries science and public consultation.
The CWA team will integrate with the existing Gartner Lee staff in the Guelph office and this will grow Gartner Lee’s Guelph office to 23 employees, greatly strengthening the ecological services capability within Gartner Lee while adding ecological risk assessment.
