Oakville, Ontario-based Ford of Canada has announced the acquisition of Lecavalier Auto Parts, a leading automotive recycler in Quebec, in early November. The purchase is the company’s first in Quebec and third in 2000; it makes Ford Canada’s largest auto recycler. Lecavalier has two facilities in the Montreal area that together process approximately 11,000 vehicles each year to recover and recondition auto parts. Other acquisitions included Plazek Auto Recycler in Hamilton and Cumberland Auto Parts near Ottawa, Ontario.
