Durham Region’s newest household hazardous waste (HHW) depot opened on January 29, 2003 at the Miller Waste Durham Facility in Pickering. The facility accepts paint and paint cans, motor oil, a variety of batteries, aerosol cans, propane cans, fire suppressant containers. The satellite facility has the capacity to receive up to 50 propane tanks, 50 motorcar batteries, and 30 bins, which will be regularly shipped to an Oshawa facility for processing. There are more than 500,000 residents in the Region of Durham, Ontario.

    Hello,

    Last week we moved to Ajax area and the previous owner had left whole pile of waste for us to clean up. Can you please advise how to get rid of the following:
    Wooden pieces of shelves
    Empy wine making bottles and a drum
    Paint cans with some paint in it
    And other litter
