The Composting Council of Canada has embarked on the development of a comprehensive national and regional database of associations and groups representing potential end use markets for compost. This database will allow the composting industry to establish networks and cooperative ventures to ensure the development of strong and sustainable compost markets. The work was originally funded by the Waste Diversion Organization in Ontario and has since been expanded due to additional support from other support, including Alberta Environment’s Action on Waste program.

A compilation of research studies on compost usage will complement the database.
