Solid Waste & Recycling magazine wishes to congratulate waste minimization consultant and contributing editor Clarissa Morawski for her tenth year writing for the publication, a journey that started precisely a decade ago with another August/September edition. As her columns in this edition indicate, Clarissa hasn’t slowed down and has in fact become a recognized expert who speaks at industry conferences and is regularly interviewed by mainstream media outlets.

Clarissa has managed to become a mom to two wonderful kids and still produce the the third edition of the “Who Pays What” for beverage containers — a world-recognized resource. CM Consulting will be researching and producing similar information report on WEEE, tires, and HHW in 2009. In April, Clarissa attended a Zero Waste conference in Germany. See her article and sidebars on the German system for used beverage containers in the Cover Story section of this edition.

Readers can contact Clarissa at CM Consulting, 315 Pearl Ave., Peterborough, Ontario, K9J 5G4 or atmorawski@ca.inter.net
