The Department of Homeland Security mandated that all containers be clear in the 12-block downtown Super Bowl Central area to help secure public safety in Phoenix, Ariz.

Working with the NFL, the City of Phoenix partnered with Pepsi to purchase 450 ClearStream bins. These clear bins will be set up in stations of three to collect trash, compostables, and recyclables. Clear bins show fans “what goes where” so they produce less trash.

Events at the Verizon Super Bowl Central will run from January 28-31 and culminate in Super Bowl XLIX on Sunday, Feb. 1 at the University of Phoenix Stadium.

Over the past 10 years, ClearStream Recycling Inc. has produced over 1 million clear bins that promote safety and sustainability for cities, counties, stadiums, colleges, Olympic events, military bases, and many other venues. Folding bins are easy to store, set up, and move between multiple events. A large inventory of bins and supplies is maintained at all times in order to respond quickly to emergency requests.
