On April 23, 2001, Tetra Pak Canada Inc. launched two retail recycling awareness promotions in Toronto, Ontario. The first is an on-shelf promo (which will last until June 1) and the second is a grocery cart signage (to June 15) — both will promote the addition of Tetra Brik Asceptic cartons to Toronto’s Blue Box program. The program will measure the promotion’s impact on both product sales and package volumes collected. As of March 1, over 70 per cent of Canadian households have access to recycling of Tetra Pak packaging.
