Andrew (Andy) Pollock has accepted the position of Director, Waste Management at the Region of Niagara after seven years as the Director, Waste Management at the Region of Peel. Andy started at Niagara on August 18. He will continue to serve on the board of Waste Diversion Ontario (WDO) representing the municipal sector.

While at Peel, Andy was responsible for the launch of the green bin organics recycling program and the single stream blue box program. He also oversaw construction of four new Community Recycling Centres and the Peel Integrated Waste Management Facility (consisting of a MRF, composting plant and transfer station). Prior to working at Peel, Andy was Director of Waste Policy and Planning at the City of Toronto.
