The report covers mandatory and voluntary labeling in 36 countries in Europe, Asia, Latin America and North America. It’ss a comprehensive guide on what markings are required on packages for recycling.

Available in print and on CD-ROM, the report includes: dozens of illustrations of recycling markings; a general discussion of labeling guides (including ASTM and ISO definitions); labeling regulation history; green labeling requirements by country; information on pesticide, battery, mercury and other special labeling; plastic coding; pallet and wood package labeling; and more.

Contact information (name, organization, phone, email and/or web URL) is provided for most subjects covered if readers need additional details.

Included with the report is a spreadsheet that illustrates each country’s ecolabeling symbol, what it is used and if it is mandatory or voluntary.

U.S.-based Raymond Communications, founded in 1991, publishes the newsletters, State Recycling Laws Update and Recycling Laws International, as well as special reports on electronics recycling, battery recovery regulations, and other subjects; and conducts audio conferences on WEEE/RoHS and the annual extended producer responsibility conference, Take it Back!
