“Enhanced Recycling Workshop: Lessons Learned and the Path Forward” will take place February 14-15, 2006 at the Novotel Hotel in Ottawa.
The Enhanced Recycling Program of Action Plan 2000 on Climate Change is a Government of Canada initiative aimed at helping municipalities, provinces and businesses increase the amount of materials recycled in a sustainable manner. The five-year program will end in March 2006. You are invited to join us at a workshop on February 14-15, 2006 in Ottawa to reflect on the program’s performance and to consider possible elements of a potential national resource recovery strategy and implementation plan.
The agenda and summary outline the structure and content of the two-day workshop. Expert speakers will position recycling and greenhouse gas emission (GHG) reductions and describe the business context for recycling. Breakout sessions and panel discussions will examine how to maximize the contribution of recycling to Canada’s economy.
Discussions will be facilitated by experts in the field of post-consumer and industrial recycling. Your participation in this workshop will help the government define elements of a national recycling program for consideration by decision makers.
