SHELTON, Connecticut – Andy Hollyer has been named the new president and CEO of TOMRA North America, Inc. and named senior vice-president and head of TOMRA Collection Solutions Americas.
Hollyer has been with TOMRA for seven years and has held several key positions within the organization including CFO and COO in North America and interim finance director in TOMRA’s Asker, Norway, corporate headquarters.
Before joining TOMRA, Hollyer held financial leadership positions and significant CFO responsibilities with organizations that include TCC Retail Marketing, Allied Domecq Spirits, Nestle Waters USA, and GE Capital.
“I’m thrilled by the trust senior TOMRA Group management has in our leadership team here at TOMRA Collection Solutions Americas. Along with our partners and customers throughout the Americas, TOMRA plays an integral role in fostering Clean Loop recycling with advanced collection and resource recovery technology,” said Hollyer.
“I look forward to the growth of our North and South Americas businesses, with our partners, by delivering an engaging recycling experience for consumers.”
Founded in 1972, TOMRA provides reverse vending solutions for Clean Loop Recycling, collecting aluminium, plastic, and glass beverage containers to be continually reused and recycled back into new bottles and cans.
With over 84,000 installations across more than 60 markets, TOMRA’s reverse vending machines capture 40 billion used beverage containers every year toward a closed loop. This reduces reliance on raw materials, and ensures fewer containers end up in our streets, oceans, and landfills.
TOMRA Collection Solutions is part of the TOMRA Group, which creates sensor-based solutions for optimal resource productivity and has a vision to lead the Resource Revolution. The Group employs approximately 4500 people globally and is publicly listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
