Stewardship Ontario Position - Director of Materials Management

As one of the pioneering organizations behind the funding and successful expansion of Ontario’s Blue Box Program, Stewardship Ontario is poised to play an even larger role in the Province’s waste management and diversion mission.

Stewardship Ontario was founded in 2002 to develop, implement and operate a progressive waste diversion program for Blue Box materials and municipal hazardous and special wastes. Our goal is to promote the reduction, reuse and recycling of materials managed under our programs.

We are seeking an experienced professional with 10-15 years in the waste management or recycling field to fill a leadership role in our pioneering organization. Reporting to the VP Operations, the Director of Materials Management will be responsible for ensuring that the corporation has the necessary knowledge, facilities and equipment required to manage and continuously improve the performance of its waste diversion services.

The right candidate is able to perform in a high-pressure, entrepreneurial environment that demands strategic thinking, decisive action and a skilled approach to building consensus among diverse stakeholders. Salary is commensurate with experience and includes a competitive incentive plan and benefit package.
