Stakeholder Session on Thursday, March 7, 2013
In December 2012, a notice was sent out to the broader Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) community advising them that the Waste Diversion Ontario (WDO) Board had approved a recommendation to review Ontario Electronic Stewardship’s WEEE Program.
The primary aim of this review is to gauge the progress of Ontario’s WEEE program and to determine the feasibility of implementing innovative strategies and best practices in e-waste.
Since that notice, WDO has hired GLA Environmental as its consultant to assist with the review.
As we move forward with the review, we would like to invite you to participate in a consultation. The aim of these sessions is to discuss the key issue areas and findings to date, and to solicit input for developing program options. The options will inform the proposed revised WEEE Program Plan which is expected to be completed this spring.
Two separate sessions will be held at the Holiday Inn Toronto Yorkdale, 3450 Dufferin Street (Dufferin and Hwy 401) as follows:
Morning Session 9am to 12 pm (registration from 8:30-9 am)
Afternoon Session 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm (registration from 12-1 pm)
Participants are invited to attend either the morning or the afternoon session.
Each session will be webcast and also recorded as a webinar. To register for the event, CLICK HERE.
