SWANA Symposium in Niagara Falls, Canada

The Ontario Chapter of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) is hosting the Sixth Canadian Waste Symposium at the Marriott Gateway on the Falls in Niagara Falls, Ontario from April 22 to 25, 2012.

The symposium will break into streams of:

-landfill, recycling, composting, and extended producer responsibility (EPR);

-post-consumer materials management and markets;

-alternative thermal and organic digestion technologies;

-rural and northern waste management issues;

-communication, education and marketing of waste diversion programs.

The event will also contain featured tours, including the Niagara Waste Systems Landfill, the Resolute Forest Products (Abitibi) Pulp & Papermill, and the Niagara Region MRF.

Solid Waste & Recycling magazine is the media sponsor of the event.
