Officials with Santek Waste Services, Inc. announced on September 3, 2013 that the company has acquired White Sanitation in Trion, Georgia.
The transaction includes all of White Sanitation’s residential, commercial and industrial waste collection customers as well as the operation of a transfer station six miles north of Summerville, Georgia. Because Santek is a privately held company, the terms of the acquisition are not being publicly disclosed. White Sanitation will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Santek.
Santek President Edward Caylor said the purchase of the 38-year-old company complements the acquisition of Davis Sanitation in Ringgold, Georgia earlier in the year.
“The addition of White Sanitation and the transfer station gives us the ability to internalize new waste volumes at our Gordon County landfill, and solidifies our presence in the Northwest Georgia market,” said Caylor in a press statement. “It’s also a strategic fit for our North Georgia waste collection operation.”
As part of the transaction, Santek will integrate all existing White employees into Santek’s work force.
