Progressive Waste, TerraCycle partner for zero-waste projects

Progressive Waste Solutions Ltd. has acquired a nearly 20 per cent interest in recycling firm TerraCycle Canada.

The Toronto-area companies are beginning to collaborate on a range of unprecedented "zero waste" recycling initiatives for homes, municipalities and businesses throughout Canada.

Solid Waste and Recycling magazine will be on hand for the official announcement on January 29, 2014, when more information will be revealed about the partnership. Stay tuned for more details as they emerge.

TerraCycle is expected to announce a rebranding as a Progressive Waste Solutions partner. According to the two companies, Progressive Waste's “vast network and infrastructure will bring extended distribution, efficiency, enhanced ease-of-use to TerraCycle's free nationwide recycling fundraisers already taking place at over 5,000 schools and charities nationwide.”
