Newalta Corporation has formed a strategic alliance with Baroid, a Halliburton Product Service Line, to offer an integrated solution for fluids and waste management in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.
The alliance will provide a Total Fluids Management system, which combines technology and resources from each company to better manage fluids and waste on drilling rigs. Aligning Baroid's customized drilling fluids with Newalta's cuttings treatment and environmental solutions will enable drilling rigs to recover more oil and water from the drilling process while substantially reducing the landfilling of waste.
"We will bring together industry-leading technologies, experience and processes to engineer solutions specific to Canadian operations, providing a seamless service package that delivers environmental advantages cost effectively," says Took Whiteley, Senior Vice President with Newalta, in a statement to media.
Baroid and Newalta are leaders in the fluids and waste management industries. Their combined Canadian network of facilities serves all regions, with facilities located in areas of high oil and gas activity.
Newalta is North America's leading provider of innovative, engineered environmental solutions that enable customers to reduce disposal, enhance recycling and recover valuable resources from industrial residues. For more information, visit the company's website at www.newalta.com
