When it comes to waste and wastewater management many look to countries such as the Netherlands for inspiration and concrete ideas on how to improve their systems. Following successful trade missions in 2013 and 2014, this 23-27 May waste management and wastewater themed trade mission, organized by the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (Toronto), promises to be an action-packed adventure where some of the Dutch’s innovations and ideas are revealed.
The beauty of these trade missions is beyond the simple driving to and seeing various Dutch facilities. Our group of ten delegates is a diverse representation of Canadian industry and includes: AIM Environmental, a long standing leader in the composting (and waste management) industry; SusGlobal Energy, a renewable energy company focused on acquiring, developing, and monetizing a portfolio of proprietary waste to energy technologies; and, Vanderbeken Enterprises Ltd., which introduces various established and innovative European waste and wastewater technologies to the North American Market. Together all of the delegates turn our tour bus into a classroom on wheels.
The attached program provides a day-by-day overview overview of the trade mission. Follow the trade mission on twitter #NLwastemission, @2cg_ and @allfoodisfood.
