Ms Maureen Reilly and is not a microbiologist. She has no documented expertise in the discipline areas required to make qualified statements about biosolids. She has not conducted any in-depth technical or scientific analysis of the Lystek system. Furthermore, she clearly has no expertise in the rigorous, regulatory review processes required to have a process such as Lystek go through years of in-depth, scientific development and testing which has resulted in the process being deemed safe and healthy by such agencies as the Ministry of the Environment, the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture Food and Rural Affairs, the Grand River Conservation Authority and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. She suggests that she knows better, but has no qualifications or basis to do so. Real facts and science are not found through misguided activists that have no idea what they are talking about. Lystek has rebranded itself as OMRC:'Organic Material Recovery Centre', the same way that sewage sludge has been rebranded as the mind numbing NASM: 'Non Agricultural Source Material'.

It all comes down to the same thing: trying to normalize the use of industrial and sewer wastes as fertilizer for our food.

In North America cancer is epidemic. People are trying to reduce exposure to toxic chemicals by shunning cigarettes, by removing amalgam dental fillings, by eating organic foods.

So why fertilize our farmlands with the so called 'processed biosolids' that contains all the toxic chemicals that industry drains to the sewers? we know more every day about the persistance of pharmaceuticals, the environmental endurance of industrial sanitizers, and the risks of toxic metals.

Why deliberately toxify our farms and our food with fertilizer from sludge?
