Waste Diversion Ontario (WDO) is seeking public input on its industry stewardship plans (ISPs).

On February 9, 2012, the Ontario Minister of the Environment requested that WDO undertake a review of its policy and procedures for ISPs and submit its report on this review along with revised procedures no later than June 1, 2012.

As part of this review, WDO is seeking input from potential ISP proponents and affected stakeholders, including industry funding organizations (IFOs), municipalities, and service providers to waste diversion programs.

To participate in the consultation process, stakeholders can submit written comments to info@wdo.ca. Comments will be accepted until May 16, 2012.

WDO is also hosting in-person consultation sessions at the Allstream Centre in Toronto on May 14, 2012.

To register for these sessions, visit http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/R3SM3VY

Registration closes on May 10, 2012 at 5 p.m.

Additionally, Sustainable Path, in association with Love Environment and Kelleher Environmental, will be contacting some stakeholders for one-on-one interviews.
