Tennessee-based Heil Environmental has announced an average five per cent price increase on all refuse collection bodies and roll-off hoists, effective January 1, 2013.

The increase stems from Heil’s innovations into their entire line of refuse collection products over the past 18 to 24 months, as well as the impacts of escalating employee healthcare costs and economic inflation that has affected most industrial manufacturers over the same period.

“No manufacturer likes to raise prices,” says Heil Product Manager Nate Davis in a January 3, 2012 statement to media. “However, there are times when it is necessary. We want to continue to offer customers the most innovative refuse collection equipment in the solid waste industry and at the same time deliver the highest efficiency with the lowest TCO. That innovation requires us to continually explore new technologies which, in turn, necessitates both resource and capital investments.”
