The staff at Solid Waste & Recycling magazine wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We're taking things slow between now and New Year's Day, and while we'll check our email and maybe get around to writing a blog entry or two, we're cutting down on news and our electronic newsletters.

Enjoy your holidays everyone!

Environmental note: We can't let you go without a quick environmental message. Remember that most gift wrap is not recyclable, so use regular paper or reusable cloth gift bags where possible. And note that many inexpensive candles use black wicks made in China that contain lead, causing a significant indoor exposure to this toxic compound when volatized from burning! Look for beeswax candles with white wicks that are lead free.
