The Minister of Sustainable Development, Environment, Wildlife and Parks, and head of the Quebec Society for the recovery and recycling (Recyc-QUEBEC) has announced the appointment of Benoit De Villiers as President and CEO of Recyc-QUÉBEC.
De Villiers is currently the Vice President - Communications and IT development in the self-regulatory organization of the Québec Real Estate Brokerage (OACIQ), where he previously served as Vice President - Corporate and Professional Development from 2010 to 2012.
Previously, he held the positions of team leader and marketing manager at the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec from 2005 to 2010. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration.
De Villiers succeeds Ginette Bureau, whose mandate expired on April 15, 2013. His appointment was confirmed by the Council of Ministers, after receiving a recommendation from the Board of Directors of the Company, pursuant to section 7 of the Act respecting the Société québécoise recovery and recycling.
"I congratulate Mr. De Villiers and offered him my whole collaboration," Blanchet in a July 17, 2013 statement to media. "I would also like to thank Ms. Bureau for her many years of service to Recyc-QUÉBEC and wish her continued success in her career."
Recyc-QUÉBEC is a Crown corporation created in 1990 and to promote, develop and promote the reduction, reuse, recovery and recycling of containers, packaging, materials or products and is intended for their development from the perspective of resource conservation. Under the Act, the mandate of the CEO is five years.
